English Day

English Day is a valuable opportunity to encourage the use and appreciation of English as a second language to promote linguistic diversity in the educational environment. The objectives of the English day are the following:

1. Promote English proficiency. The main objective of an English day is to be celebrated by strengthening students' linguistic skills in the language. This day provides a space where students can actively use English in a practical and communicative way. Through interactive and participatory activities, students will develop their oral fluency, listening comprehension, reading and writing in English.

2. Build confidence and self-esteem. By participating in activities in English during the bilingual day, students have the opportunity to experience success in their use of the language. This helps build students' confidence and self-esteem by showing them that they are capable of communicating effectively in a bilingual environment. It also encourages a positive attitude towards language learning and increases your motivation to further develop your English skills.

3. Celebrate cultural and linguistic diversity. During the English Day there is the opportunity to recognize and value the cultural and linguistic diversity present at the school. Through activities related to the culture of English-speaking countries, students can learn about the traditions, history and customs of different English-speaking communities. This promotes respect, tolerance and intercultural understanding among students.

4. Promote the exchange of experiences. An English Day provides the opportunity to encourage the exchange of experiences between students of different levels of English ability. More advanced students can act as mentors or leaders in English activities, allowing them to share their knowledge and help others improve their language skills. This promotes collaboration and solidarity among students, creating an enriching and mutually supportive learning environment.

In the end, the purpose is to promote linguistic competence, foster confidence and self-esteem, celebrate cultural diversity and encourage the exchange of experiences in favor of a united and supportive community.
