Rector John Hickey

It is my great pleasure to write to you as the new Head of Colegio La Colina. I step into this role with a strong sense of responsibility—honored to lead a school with such a proud legacy of excellence and a deep commitment to its students and families.

Beyond being an educator, I’m also a husband and the father of two school-aged sons. These roles are the most important in my life and deeply shape how I lead. I understand what it means to entrust a school with the care, growth, and well-being of your children—and I take that responsibility to heart.

I am a firm believer in the transformative power of education, and for over two decades, I have worked in international education with a focus on providing high-quality, holistic learning experiences to the students in my care. I believe that an educational program grounded in empathy, rooted in strong values, and shaped by innovative teaching and learning will empower students to thrive. At CLC, I will work to uphold and build upon the school’s strong tradition of excellence while fostering a culture where every student feels known, challenged, and supported.
